Behind The Lens
Location
The picture was taken in an abandoned railway station. Fun fact, this is actually an extract from the first photo shoot I ever did!Time
It was actually around 10:00 on a fine Saturday.Lighting
The lighting of that place is why I choose it for that particular shoot. I was fond of silhouette and contrast lighting photos back then, and that spot at that time of the day was a real treat to me.Equipment
The only equipments I used was a Nikon D3300 camera equipped with the basic lens that comes with it, a 55mm Nikkor, and that’s it.Inspiration
As I mentioned it was my first photoshoot and I was at my discovery phase. However, the moment that spot, I immediately knew I had to include it in my photo session. It was the perfect light, contrast and exposure even angle in which I wanted to capture and frame my subject was on point.Editing
As a newbie, my editing capabilities were quite limited. For this picture, there’s only one editing that was involved, and that’s colors conversion to black and whiteIn my camera bag
Firstly my IPhone, it’s an amazing photography tool! Then I would have a Nikon D7100, Nikkor 50mm and a Tamaron lens 70-300 mm. Sometimes I would carry some props as well, like my lens ball, fairy lights or crystals!Feedback
Avoid noon sunlight! But guys, honestly, your photography is your art, go for it, and make it in your own ways!
