This picture was take indoor at my place, and features my hand (giving the rose) and my friend (about to take the rose).Time
Honestly I don't remember the exact time, but it was around 17:00 - 18:00 maybe because I remember coming back home from work and I bought these flowers and judging by the background light I would say it was the peak golden hour just before sunset.Lighting
As mentioned in the previous, it was during golden hour, which is actually the normally has perfect lighting. I did not tweak anything in regards to lighting and shadow, and did not use any extra lighting except the natural source. It just gives this touch of reality yet dreamy in a proportionate combination.Equipment
My Iphone is actually the device I used to take this picture.Inspiration
I am what you can call an observer, I see everything and also go beyond what my eyes show me. I would usually see the deeper meanings of actions and reactions. This photo was an in the moment picture, and it was perfectly captured in regards to how my eyes was seeing the action. I remember thinking about love and was having an conversation with my friend. I actually bought this flower for an Instagram photography project and I was giving her the flower for her to look at it. And at this moement, everything slowed down and I remember reflecting on my own words about how falling in love is allowing ourselves to be vulnerable to the bearer of our hearts similar to this flower which was so fragile and so beautiful yet being manipulated and interpreted differently by different people. So, it happened in a very natural manner, I just took my phone and capture this moment.Editing
Yeah I actually did as you can see. I was a mere one though as the golden hour already worked its magic on the colors and lightning. I only added the filmy streaks, which was a png I downloaded from freepik jsut to give it the nostlagic feel so as to properly convey my message. In my camera bag
I usually have my Nikon D3300 and Nikon D7100, then my lenses: Nikkor 35mm and Tamaron 70-300 mm, reflectors/diffuser, it's actually all three in one. I also carry props like fairy lights, lensball and clear crystals. Sometimes I would also carry my external speedlight flash.Feedback
My advice would be not to think about what others would think but rather concentrate on what you see and what message you want to convey. Photography is an art, an art cannot be defined, one artwork will always hold infinite amount of descriptions. It is for the artist to create and the viewer to interpret, everythinf in between are just unspoken thoughts and emotions.
