Location
I took this photo on a mountain in Lebanon while I was on vacation. My grandparents' building's pretty big and so is the land surrounding it, so I had no shortage of places to photograph. I found this little guy under the grapevines.Time
It was noon, a couple minutes after eating a traditional lunch with my family when I got up and starting strolling around the building.Lighting
Nothing too special about the lighting. I left my camera on AWB and let the natural light take care of the lighting for me.Equipment
I used my old camera, the Kodak AZ521 and made my hand into a fist propped onto the ground to use as a quick, makeshift tripod.Inspiration
I hadn't taken many photos that day so far, and I try to get in as many good photos as I can each time I go on a photography trip so I figured I better get started.Editing
Just one simple post-process, which was manually getting rid of all the color from around the main focus of the picture. In my camera bag
Now that I got a new camera, my bag is almost always full with ND filters, macro filters, a monopod, a tripod, extra batteries, extra grip and my other lens. Before, it was only my camera and my tripod. Some people like to say less is more, but in my opinion, when it comes to photography, carry as much as you can.Feedback
To be honest, if you want to try and capture a picture like this, you're going to need to be free of distractions and be patient. You're only ever going to notice these guys out of the corner of your eyes and getting near them is no easy task. But if you're down for a little 'scavenger hunt' for little critters, then make sure you're having fun too!
