I took this photo while me and Vincent ( my dog ) were stuck on the moorland after heavy snow. Vince was loving it until he spotted a bird, he stood there for a solid five minutes staring at this crow that had landed on a tree close by. Luckily I had my camera, and captured his focus along with the snow falling all around us.Time
It was around noon, the snow clouds were in full swing however the snow gave great lighting.Lighting
If you are deep in snow, keep your flash off, and let the snow do the job!Equipment
Camera, no flash, no tripod, just a rough adventurers imageInspiration
Vincents focus inspired me to capture his beauty while stood silentlyEditing
i simply applied a black and white filter to the image! In my camera bag
I normally carry my camera, a flash and my tripod, along with a few little accessories such as UV filters and a mini soft box to add to my flashFeedback
If advice is what you want, then I am going to have to do the typical reply... If you're out and about, just slip your camera into P mode (canon) and let your camera do most of the work, opportunities come and go within seconds, don't waste time messing with your camera settings, no one will appreciate the image if the moment has gone... Cameras are smart, let them do some work!
