Location
This photo was taken along Bembridge beach, on the Isle of Wight.Time
It was an early June morning last year, between the hours of 4 am - 5 am, just before the sunrise.Lighting
All done in natural light.Equipment
At the time this was taken on my Sony Xperia SP mobile phone, before I eventually was given as Christmas gift, my first DSLR Camera from my lovely partner who's always supported my obsession for taking photos.Inspiration
At heart I've always been a creative person and I love painting, drawing, sewing, basically as my dearest friend would describe me as a person with layers, just when you think you know me and what I can do, I then am able to turn my hand to something new, challenging myself always. Anyway I had seen that some people have taken their photos and used an app called pip, whereby you could place a photo in a jar, glass, mirror, etc to give it a different perspective, so I gave it a try and found with the many colours of the sunrise, it was quite effective. Most of my inspiration comes from mother nature herself and how I would like to see it in a painting, drawing, photo etc., but mostly not only do I enjoy it, I take great joy from making people happy to see what I see.Editing
Yes I do occasionally, but only enough to enhance the colours, brighten or darken a picture, but mostly to straighten horizons etc., I try my best to tweak my pictures as little as possible, as I can be guilty of over doing it and finding that I end up spoiling it, so now I've learnt to hold back as much as possible to keep the natural look as best as I can.In my camera bag
My main Camera with kit lens, two batteries, a travel tripod, one prime lens and one zoom. The mobile still comes with me as well, just for emergencies.Feedback
Always watch the weather forecasts, if predicting bad weather, you normally get a cracking sunrise just before it arrives, the old saying of red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning, is very true, but besides that, it always helps to be prepared and keeping an eye on your local weather stations is crucial to planning any photography field adventure.
