Location
Close to our home is a wonderful green space called Old Quarry Trail, located in Kanata, near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada that offers the chance to see wildlife, both ground and air in their natural habitat. The trail offers a number of activity options, such as walking, cycling, cross-country skiing and snow shoeing, just to name a few, and is accessible year-round.Time
My husband and I were out for a mid-morning walk on a beautiful September day.Lighting

I was taking a photography workshop to learn how to use my camera, and the weekly assignment was "available light". We came across this bridge and I thought I would try to capture this something. I wish I had a more exotic and romantic inspirational story to share about this photo, but that is all I have. I am totally inspired, however, as to how many wonderful comments and shared feelings this photo has garnered from those who have viewed it. It just goes to show how something so simply thought about and captured can touch so many people and warm their hearts. I truly appreciate all the comments I have received and grateful that it has created so many memories for people. Thank you.Editing
This photo was taken in 2015. It is virtually how it was captured, other than perhaps a straightening and minor adjustments in exposure. In my camera bag

Just to get out and shoot and don't forget to enjoy your environment outside of the lens as well. It is no necessary to always get too technical. Have fun and thank you so much for your interest in my photo. Thank you. :)
