Deep in the Southern Alps of France, on the border with Italy, there is a little walled town called Briancon, it holds some of the best mountains for skiing and one of the most beautiful little towns at the top of a large hill, behind all of its 17th century fortifications. Combined with a clear winters night this historic alpine town is quite a sight to see.
