Behind The Lens

Location

This Photo was taken in the heart of Mongolia in the middle of winter near Tsetserleg, Arkhangai.

Time

About 4 pm, but I'm guessing.

Lighting

We were driving home along the river. As we rounded a bend in the river the car turned and I had about a sec to lift the camera and shoot. Luckily I was a passenger on the left side of the vehicle making the shot possible. I already had the camera set to T mode, pointed it just off the sun, and took the shot.

Equipment

Cannon 70D, 28-135mm

Inspiration

The reflection off the water caught my eye. 5 sec later we were out of there.

Editing

I definitely had to do some processing but it was all pretty basic and I can't remember exactly what I did now.

In my camera bag

Now my 28-135mm is gone. So I just have an 18-135mm, UV filter, 3 spare batteries, 5 SD cards, and the Canon 70D. Plus an old bean bag for a stabilizer if needed. That's it.

Feedback

Always be ready, always be on the lookout, never go to sleep (unless your buddy is there to wake you).
