I took this image on a visit to the Tate Gallery in London with my daughter. She was studying A Level Art at the time so she took her camera along with to grab some shots whilst we were out and about.Time
It was during the day, indoors so not sure exactly what time of day but probably around midday. Lighting is mixed daylight and artificial.Lighting

I just loved all the curves and the textures of the stonework. in particular I liked how the lines in the column and ceiling worked with the handrail to draw you eyes down into the image.Editing
Just to correct colour cast from the mixed lighting, clean up the whites and sharpen the image.In my camera bag
Nowadays I own FujiFilm kit with a couple of vintage Carl Zeiss Contax G Series lenses I use with adapter. I love the retro look but also the bang up to date technology of FujiFilm, especially their frequent Firmware updates across their range and how they always add the latest features even to older cameras. Something other major manufacturers could take on board.Feedback
Think outside the box. By that, I mean think outside the viewfinder/frame and take in the scene fully before you press the shutter. Also try taking several shots from different angles, using different lenses, especially if you won't have an opportunity to return to the scene again or are new to photography. You can then use it as a learning experience and later on analyse your images, looking at what works best, asking yourself why and what you might have done differently. Remember, some museums and galleries have very specific policies on taking images so be sure to check beforehand. Most are ok with you taking photos as long as you don't use flash and its for non-commercial use.
