Behind The Lens

Location

The photo means a lot to me. It was one of my first Boudoir shots. It was taken during a Glamour photography workshop in Baltimore. There I learn how to communicate with model (who was super friendly & Helpful). We also learned a lot about lighting and setting the mood of the shot. I get so excited when I get any kind of feedback from this photo. This was a fun shoot and I'm glad others enjoy this shot.

Time

The studio session was from 2 pm - 5 pm.

Lighting

I used a light meter. We used a 2 light setup. 1 72'' parabolic Umbrella with a white diffuser and one small strobe with a reflector.

Equipment

This shot was taken with a Nikon 7100 with a 35 mm Nikon prime lens.

Inspiration

After I received the training, I was excited and eggar to use the tools and tips that I learned.

Editing

This shot is straight out of the camera, no post-processing.

In my camera bag

I carry a Nikon 7100 (my main squeeze) and a Canon T2i (for general use). Lens - 50 mm, 35 mm and a 18mm - 55mm. Yongnuo speed light YN560-III. A Poket Wizard Plus III. Spare rechargeable batteries and Battery grip for Nikon.

Feedback

One very interesting thing that I learned was about warming the model up. What the workshop taught us is that although everyone (model, photographer & MUA) came to do a Boudoir shoot, doesn't me you can't first start with some fully dress shots. This get the model and you comfortable and connecting with each other before she bares it all.
