Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken on the coast of the Azov sea.

Time

The survey was conducted late in the evening, about the beginning of the eleventh evening. It was already dark, so I had to use a tripod.

Lighting

Due to the fact that the Bank was already very dark, and wanted to make all the plans sharp photos with good quality (for this reason it was necessary to close the aperture and lower the ISO) to operate had exposure. In this shot, the exposure is about seven minutes. For of the water became like the mist and the picture has acquired a mystical connotation.

Equipment

At my disposal was a camera Canon EOS 6d, lens Canon EF 24-70 2.8 and a tripod Velbon 686. In order to get such a long exposure shot in Bulb mode and to eliminate movement of the camera, ran it over Wi-Fi from your mobile phone.

Inspiration

During those several days that I was on the coast, the coastal strip is constantly changing. And one evening opened the stones in the water. Their location is very successfully created a multifaceted, three-dimensional frame that I just could not miss.

Editing

From postprocess in this photo only conversion to b & W in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, slight lightening of shadows and light toning.

In my camera bag

Usually in my bag is the camera Canon EOS 6d and lens Canon 50mm 1.4. This set is enough for me almost always. If necessary, as with the frame, borrow from friends other optics.

Feedback

Shoot lots and often, and don't forget to analyze your pictures to figure out how to make them better.
