This macro photo was taken just after a shower of rain in my backyard.Time
It was taken mid afternoon just after a shower of rain.Lighting
It was quite dark still due to the cloud cover so I used the cameras flash for lighting.Equipment
This was taken using my canon 350D and 18-55mm kit lens reversed with a reversing ring, hand held which made it much harder to achieve a reasonably good focus.Inspiration
I'd seen a lot of images like this and wanted to try to achieve the same result.Editing
There was a little post processing using Lightroom. I had only just started photography and was still learning about my second hand bought camera and post processing so the processing I did was a little adjustment of exposure, contrast and clarity.In my camera bag
These days I have a canon 700D with kit lenses, a 1300D with kit lens, canon 50mm prime lens 2 youngnuo flashes, a couple of other flashes, shutter release cable and tripod as well as spare batteries etcFeedback
Patience. Keep trying. I took so many photos before I got this image, changing camera settings such as shutter speed v aperture v iso. As I said I was still learning all this myself as I went using trial and error to get it right.
