This image was taken at home, just after we had put the Christmas Tree up and decorated it.Time
This was taken in the late afternoon/evening.Lighting
The only lighting was from the christmas tree lights, and from a small table lamp. I wanted the image to be quite dark.Equipment
I shot this image on a Canon EOS 650D, with a 50mm lens. I shot handheld and didn't use any flash.Inspiration
We had just put the tree up, and I had seen some fantastic images of baubles and just wanted to capture the moment. So I just grabbed my camera and took a couple of shots from varying distances, and different angles.Editing
I always shoot in RAW, and I used Lightroom for the Post Processing. I cropped the image and just adjusted the tones.In my camera bag
I have a Canon EOS 650D and have recently upgraded to a Canon 7D MKII. I have a 70-300mm, 50mm, and a wide angle and macro lens so I hope I have all the bases covered. I have various filters and memory cards in my bag, always carry a spare (fully charged) battery.Feedback
