I took this photo right on my front porch in Collinsville IllinoisTime
Early afternoon around 2-3pmLighting
It was a bright and beautiful clear and sunny 70 degree day!Equipment
I used my Canon Rebel EOS T2i with my 18-135mm Canon lens. No flash was used.Inspiration
I absolutely adore watching my hummingbirds each year. I have feeders on my porch and they come so very close to you when you are outside. Truly magnificent creatures!Editing
Sometimes I use my Corel photo editor to brighten and fix any photos that may need it.In my camera bag
I always carry my 55-250mm lens as well as my 18-135mm lens. I also have a attachable Canon flash.Feedback
Patience. Lots of patience. I have spent many hours on my porch just waiting to capture that magical moment - and that is what I consider this photo of my beautiful hummingbird...a magical moment. It's as if he posed for me. It seemed as if he stayed suspended in that same position for me just to capture this photo.
