Behind The Lens
Location
In front of our home at Canim Lake, BC CanadaTime
Mid morningLighting
The sun had just come out from behind the mountain and this was the first sunlight on the new frost.Equipment
Nikon with wide angle lens, hand held and no flashInspiration
Every year around the first week in November it gets cold enough so the heat off the lake freezes to everything along the shoreline creating this thick hoar frost. I think it’s beautiful and it transforms the area into a magical place with the ice and thick frost shining in the morning sunlight.Editing
Not much, just straighten a littleIn my camera bag
In the winter, always gloves without fingers and a toque. Sometimes when it’s cold enough I like the effect of fogging up my lens as wellFeedback
