Iphone, I shoot everything on Iphone. Sometimes I wish for a better camera but then I think on the time when I had many, different formats, lenses, filters and equipment and remember that technology got in the way of framing and observation.Inspiration
In an exhibit is not just about the beauty of the pieces by themselves or the way the art is displayed but also, in my opinion, the way it interacts in the hall with the other pieces. In this particular case, I followed the eyeline of the marble and it took me to her, in the painting. Both looking at each other from their own confinement. It is difficult being a work of art, you can only see what is in front of you but with the impossibility to go and experience it. They probably have been looking at each other for many years. This is what I believe and I hope it helps someone: I believe that once you found your subject matter and you formulate the idea on what you want, then you shoot from many different positions. If there is a way to express an idea then there is many ways to express it. Many points of view. In other words you can say the same thing from many points of view and from many angles. I also don't stop to edit on the spot I shoot as much as I can and then after a time I start editing, at night, somewhere else, where the work has a different context. It helps me to see if it would stand by itself.
