Iron Bridge Luíz I, built between 1885 and 1887, so 2 years before the Eiffel tower and same technology. This bridge links Gaia City where Port wine is made to Porto City - It was designed and supervised by Teophile Seyrig, former associate of Gustave Eiffel with whom he had worked 12 to 10 years earlier to Build the other Iron Bridge but for the Rail-road. This other bridge, designed by Gustave Eiffel was built between 1875-77 and it was the one that gave Gustave Eiffel international recognition which among others led for him to design and supervise the building of the Eiffel tower some 12 years later.
