Location
This was taken at Gifford Pinchot State Park near Harrisburg PATime
This was taken early in the morning on a fall day. I had gotten up before sunrise to a foggy morning. Feeling that the lake at Pinchot park might be a great place for pictures before the sun burned off the fog headed out to explore the area. Around 9 am as the sun rose higher in the sky the fog began to dissipate this lone fisherman appeared.Lighting
This shot was taken facing east so the sun as it began to burn through the fog was in front of me increasing the brightness of the entire area.Equipment
I shot this with a Nikon P510Inspiration
I had been in the area a few days before and knew that the fall leaves seemed to be at there peak. When I saw the fog that morning I just felt that the lake was the place to go to get some great shots.Editing
I did a little adjustment of the saturation and brightness but not much more than that. i wanted to bring out the fall color through the fog.In my camera bag
I just shoot with a P510Feedback
Fog tends to change minute by minute. You need to be ready to move quickly when you have a foggy morning and have an idea of where the best place in your area might be to get great shots. I have gone out before chasing fog just to have to disappear before I was able to get one shot. You need you be ready and have some ideas. You also need some luck as this fisherman was not an expected element in the photo.
