Location
I took this while walking around at a local arboretum.Time
I think this was during a morning walk before it got too hot.Lighting
I was just out practicing some macro photography and I turned around after shooting a rose and I saw this. It was the first time I had noticed this type of plant and I found it interesting.Equipment
I had my Nikon D610 with a Tonika 100mm f2.8 macro lens attached. ISO 100 at f/8.0 1/250 100mm. I was using a monopod. A couple of exposures I think were at f3.5 and 1/4000, but I took about 12 shots at different exposures and angles.Inspiration
It reminded me of a ball sitting on a tee.Editing
Just a conversation to black and white. In my camera bag
Nowadays I usually have my Tokina 2.8 100mm or Sigma 2.8 150mm macro, my Tamron 45mm f1.8, 15-30mm f2.8 and 24-70mm f2.8. and my Nikkor 105mm f2 DC. Camera body is either my D610, D700, or D3sFeedback
This was just one of those fortunate right place right time moments. No special planing, I just turned around and captured one of my favorite nature shots.
