This image was taken in a bakery that was kind enough to provide accessTime
This photo was taken in the middle of the day; being indoors, the only thing that mattered was access by the bakeryLighting
I wanted to draw the viewer into the oven and chose a wide angle lens at the opening of the oven to provide the appropriate view to convey the feel of the oven. I had to adjust for exposure and focus prior to taking the image due to the heat from the ovenEquipment
This was a handheld image taken with a Nikon D3s full frame camera and a 14-24 mm wide angle lens from NikonInspiration
Once the bakery allowed us access, there were a few images that came to mind but given the low light situation and not having a flash, I was drawn to the oven and the colourful and powerful fire withinEditing
For processing, I adjusted for exposure, noise reduction, sharpening and cropping. In my camera bag
I travel with Nikon full frame and crop bodies; at the time D3s and D7100. I also bring a tripod and lens ranging from 14mm to 600mm. This alows me to shoot whatever I encounter.Feedback
For this type of image, access to a bakery, a full frame camera and a wide angle lens are useful but there are also many variants of this image possible with other type of gear.
