Location
This was taken just north of Old Forge NY while on a snowmobile ride.Time
It was probably mid to late morning, we usually left early for an entire day's ride and this was our first stop.Lighting
There were some clouds and a storm brewing to the northwest but the sun seemed exceptionally bright, really highlighting the trees that had a sky backdrop.Equipment
I'm not completely sure but I believe this was taken with a Samsung point and shoot. It was much easier to carry while snowmobiling and less worry if something happened rather than lugging the Nikon with accessories.Inspiration
Sunshine on trees with a darker sky in the background will never get old for me.Editing
I likely tweaked the exposure, contrast and brightness a bit to bring attention to what I saw in person. In my camera bag
On trips like that just a cellphone and a point and shoot. I don't have the proper equipment protection for long cold rides.Feedback
My only advice is the same I give myself. If you like it and want to save it to look at again, take the picture. In fact take at least 5 and maybe even 20. Unless you aren't pressed for time then fill your memory card.
