Once again, your high ISO on such a clear day? Why. You create unneccessary noise in your image by using these high ISO's. I realize you might have wanted speed, but rather up your speed manually and close down on your f-stop.

Thanks Lindie! This one I remember. This little one was shaded by a boardwalk on a slightly overcast day. When I shot back then, I did everything manually, and ISO 800 wasn't enough. My camera can't do partial stops with ISOs. So I had to go to 1600. But even if I switched to auto-iso (I have to shoot shutter or aperture priority with my camera to achieve this), I will still face the light challenges I discussed in my other answer. But I do not remember how wide my aperture was, as it is set manually, but judging from the bokeh, I was close to being wide open, and my shutter speed was 1/320. I hear you loud and clear, and to be honest, now that you are bringing it up, it hurts a little. But eventually I will one day have faster lenses and a more versatile camera body! In a perfect world, Canon 5DS or a 5D Mark III, or Nikon 810/750/7200...

Hey, we all have to crawl before we can walk before we can run. Not all of us have D5's or Canon's latest and not all of us have 500mm prime lenses or whatever else you think you need. We do the best we dan, with what we have. Don't cut yourself up, and for goodness sake, don't be embarressed about anything. When i look at photos now from when I started and have been on my journey only a year or so, I just smile.I've learnt so much and remember, you are only as good as your last photo. Be well and have a great week-end.
