Location
The photo was taken in a studio with big windows in the downtown of St. Petersburg. It was an autumn cloudy day and light was very soft.Time
This photo was taken about 3 PM.Lighting
All this session was with natural light only. I'd like to get dark background. So, I stand back close to the window and asked the model to stand about 1,5 meters in front of me. It was about 6 meters to the opposit wall and I got dark background.Equipment
I used Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 50mm f/1,4 lens.Inspiration
I always got pleasure from making photos of beautiful models. Anna is very beautiful and professional model, I was inspred by her beauty and asked her to make a session with natural light.Editing
Yes, I always made a post processing. As I shoot in RAW I start from basic editing in Lightroom and than continue in Photoshop. I use Friquency separation method for skin retouching, Dodge&Burn for enhace volume and finaly sharpening image. If I decide to go to B&W than I use Silver Effects for conversion and final editing.In my camera bag
For studio sessions I use Canon 5D Mark II with Canon 50mm f/1,4 and 85mm f/1,8. Also I have Canon 70-200mm f/2,8 for outdoor portrait sessions and Canon 17-40 f/4,0 and Canon 24-70 f/2,8 for landscapes.Feedback
It is very important that the light will come at an angle 45 degrees up the model. You need to have a big high windows in the studio. If you don't have such windows than ask your model to sit dawn on the chair or on the flor.If you want to get dark background in normal room your model must stand close to you and the window and far from the wall which is opposit to the window.
