Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was a spur of the moment, early one morning and a photograph I have been wanting to capture for a long time.

Time

After dropping my sister off at school around 8:00am near my home town in Xenia, Ohio, I pulled the side of the road and captured this.

Lighting

I have always been a fan of mysteries in nature. This particular shot was all natural lighting and minimal editing.

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon rebel xs, with a Tamron 28-75mm lense.

Inspiration

I wasn't looking for this photo opportunity when I took this, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time and was prepared for it.

Editing

My post processing was very little, all I did was correct the white balance and the color tones ever so slightly to bring out the blue in the image.

In my camera bag

My bag consists of a Canon rebel xs with a Tamron 28-75mm, and a Canon 50mm.

Feedback

In my opinion being ready all the time is important also knowing what you want your photo to look like can help you determine a location and a time of day. if you want a photo of a foggy scene for instance, the best time would be early in the morning, keep an eye on the weather. A good location for this shot would be a place with a main subsection like a tree or a barn that can show the effect of the fog.
