This photo was taken at Heritage park in Calgary. I was amazed by the frost on the trees. It was Early December, 2012.Time
This was taken about 11:00 on a Sunday morningLighting
For this one, the light took care of itself! There's nothing like natural light to make our job just a bit easier.Equipment
This was taken with my T3i and my kit lens (Canon 18-55 IS) It's a testament to the fact that the best camera you have is the one you have with you.Inspiration
I was focusing more on the scene and not the family in the picture. Once I pulled the photo up on my computer and realized what the family in the photo added to the shot, I was very happy.Editing
I revisited this photo in 2015 once I became acquainted with what Lightroom had to offer. I altered it just a bit, but was very happy with the result. In my camera bag
I now have my Canon 6D, EF 24-105 F4, Speedlight 600ex and Transmitter, Canon EF 85mm F1.8, Canon EF 50mm compact macro, and my Canon 100-400mm F4 Telephoto LensFeedback
I've learned that you have to put yourself in situations where you might get great shots. Get out there and shoot everything you can. If there's something different going on (the Frost) take advantage of it!
