Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my lounge room floor, 1 hour after receiving this precious cat named George who was playing with a toy mouse.

Time

This photo was taken around mid-morning (9:30-10am)

Lighting

Since this photo was an unplanned candid shot I really didn't think to much about lighting, but during this morning the sun was peaking in through curtains and spreading a delightful sunny haze through the whole room, which gave the softness to this photo.

Equipment

This photo was shot with a Olympus Pen EP-5 with a 17-40mm lense.

Inspiration

The simple way in which "George" was playing with his toy. It was so innocent and simple.

Editing

Some post processing was done on this photo. The main focus of the post-processing was to try and clear up the photo of all the "fuzzyness" I wanted a sharper picture.

In my camera bag

These days all I keep with me is my Olympus Pen EP-5 with a 14-40mm Lense slung over my shoulder and my mobile phone in my pocket at the ready to take candid photos and that's all I need each day I leave the house.

Feedback

Don't think to much about it, animals can be very hard to photograph. If I could retake this photo the first thing I would do is set my camera up properly so that the end result would not have come out so "Fuzzy" blurry.
