Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the Everglades, by the Flamingo campground. The osprey was perched in a tree.

Time

This was early afternoon. We were staying in Marco Island and had to drive across the State on the Tamiami Trail, leaving Marco early in the morning, down to the Flamingo entrance and another 38 miles to the campground area.

Lighting

The lighting was just natural Florida October sun

Canon T3I

Inspiration

Canon T3I with a Canon EF-S 75-300 mm lens, hand held since he didn't hang around long

In the Everglades, your photo ops are so great that the best advice is just keep your eyes and ears open. It also helps to not step on a gator.
