This was actually a white feather taken on a piece of white card - the lower half is the shadow. However, a curious thing happened when I inverted the black-white image - the feather appears to remain to remain white while the card becomes black, creating this impression of a reflection.

I'm not sure what this one was trying to say to me, but it definitely wasn't happy.

Come on little fella, cheer up!

Taken on a very grey, windy and snowy day near Lake Zurich, Switzerland. The resilience of trees to endure and return year after year always inspires

Oh to have that singularity of purpose and focus. It's all there in nature for us to learn, not to mention the beauty and elegance.

Up in the Swiss Alps, hoping to get home before the storm comes in.

A glorious stroll in the Swiss mountains with a little added texture to liven the sky.

Apparently this is where all the little toys are made at this time of year. Hard to believe, isn't it?

I don't get many opportunities to photograph people where I live, but when I do they usually have far more character than I can ever truly captur

A small town but well worthe a day trip if you're ever near Zurich. Unfortunately everything, including the cafes and restaurants close for lunc

I really don't know what this lady was thinking but I get the feeling she wasn't impressed.
