Behind The Lens

Location

Ta som, Siem Reap Cambodia. I took this photo on my trip to in Nov 2015. A holiday I had long dreamed of and when I finally had the time off work at the right time, I booked to go. I have some of my best photos from this trip. Including a 4am start to capture the sunrise coming over Angkor Wat.

Time

I can’t remember exactly but my best guess is between 8am-2pm. These were the hours we got most of our exploring of the temples done every day.

Lighting

The temples are a photographers dream. So many opportunities for natural light and shadows. Very little post processing to be done.

Equipment

Sony cyber shot

Inspiration

The natural beauty of how the tree has grown over time. When you are exploring the temples one thing jumps to mind. The trees own this land. Nature owns this land.

Editing

Filter to enhance the brightness

In my camera bag

Sony cyber shot.

Feedback

Point and shoot. The temples in Cambodia don’t need a professional to capture their beauty. It’s an experience I recommend for everyone
