Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at an abandoned house in some fields. Creepy places are often great places for shoots!

Time

It was taken in october, around 3-4 pm. We wanted to catch the beautiful light of late afternoon.

Lighting

This girl is a sunshine herself, so I wanted to make something that would merge with the cooler temperature and her. I always use natural night, but in post-processing, I love to make some changes and darken the picture a bit.

Equipment

Back then, I only had my very first camera, Nikon D3200 and my very first Full Frame lens 50 mm f 1.8

Inspiration

I just really loved that place, so when the girl came to me and ask for a lifestyle shoot, I immediately thought of that place. There was also an old barn, which made lot of element to work with.

Editing

I love to use VSCO for lifestyle portraits editing. I just love them colors and film looks.

In my camera bag

I've upgraded all my equipement, so now I use my Nikon D750, my 24-70 mm f 2.8 and my 70-200 f 2.8. I'm a Nikon girl !

Feedback

Make your subject move. It always creates a pictures that has life in it, and its much more natural.
