Nikon D7100 Lens - 18-200. My favorite all purpose lens.Inspiration
Intore Dancers are the traditional dancers in Rwanda. In the old days it was the Intore men that were chosen to be the warriors and dancers for the kings. There is something about these dancers that still after 10 years brings me to tears. It is powerful and beautiful. My husband and I own a tour company in Rwanda and we are Intore Expeditions named after these dancers.Editing
I am not a big editing fan. However, because I used this photo for our annual calendar cover, I did some small adjustments to intensify the color and brighten it for printing. In my camera bag
My bag consists of two bodies both D7100's, an 18-200, an 18-24 and a 50 -500, a tripod extra batteries and memory cards. Living in Rwanda I try to keep i down to a weight I can manage alone.Feedback
To get one shot like this I take tons of photo's. The hardest part is to get one that shows all the faces nicely, no arms over a face, no blurr and a sense of the moment and passion that is in the dance. And then I go back again and again and again. Weather and sky are also tricky. Shoot what you love.
