Behind The Lens

Location

The original image was taken during a photography workshop in the Palouse region of eastern WA state, several years ago.

Time

June 20, 2015, around 5 p.m. in a field that the workshop leader got permission from the land owner for us to shoot in/on..

Lighting

Not really. This is the light the way it was at the moment.

Equipment

Canon 5D Mark III, tripod, don't recall the lens.

Inspiration

I loved the solitary tree in that landscape. Everyone in the group was shooting it.

Editing

Yes, from raw in photoshop elements 2015, darkened the sky just a hair, then used a flood filter for the water/reflection, since the foreground was just a blah/bare field of dirt.

In my camera bag

Nothing special....I now have a Canon 5D Mark IV (that I bought myself for last Christmas) with a Canon 100-400L lens attached, and sometimes bring a Sigma 10-20 wide angle with me if I'm going to be in open areas.

Feedback

The Palouse region of WA state.....
