Location
This photo was taken on a back road in Huron County between Seaforth and Mitchell Ontario Canada on route to Stratford OntarioTime
Taken on December 28th 2013 at 5:46pm during an early winter sunset. What's more beautiful than that? I'm always looking for opportunities to take photos.Lighting
I love the light the sun produces when it sets. The rich orange tones in the clouds and sky,a flash was not needed.Equipment
This photo was shot with a Canon EOS Rebel T3i with a 70-300mm lens.Inspiration
Who needs more inspiration than our star that gives us life? That big beautiful ball of energy in the sky is all the inspiration I need plus who can ignore the colors of the sky when darkness approaches?Editing
All my photos get edited...its half the fun of photography...nothing over the top just a decrease or increase in color, shadows, highlights, contrast & brightness. This photo I decreased the contrast to show more details, the shadows were decreased by a little bit and the highlights decresed along with the noise being removed for a smoother photo. My other habits include remixing (Adding colors to black and white, themes such as space, water or smoke, textures, vintage, blurs, bokeh,HDR etc) and morphing (layering to photos on top of each other to receive a certain effect)In my camera bag
My equipment includes a Canon EOS Rebel T3i body,a 18-55mm Image Stabilizer Macro 0.25m/0.8ft lens,a 35-70mm zoom 1:3.5-4.5 lens and a 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 lensFeedback
The thing about photography is you never know when the perfect moment to take a photo is going to come,it's not an absolution.Light, weather, obstacles, objects can make or break a picture.Taking landscape photos is about finding a balance between the elements even when you plan ahead the moment is never guaranteed. My best advice is to keep a watchful eye,be prepared to stop and capture beauty where ever you are and accept defeat when the odds are against you but never give up.it may take 100 photos just to get the shot you want but that 1 shot will be worth it.
