Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my set up studio in my home.

Time

This was done around the morning.

Lighting

During this shoot we blocked out the windows and used just one soft box in order to create one side of her face brighter than the other.

Equipment

I used my canon 600D with a 50mm 1.8Fstop

Inspiration

We live in a society where in order to feel beautiful we have to be perfect and flawless. This image is just one image we captured to express body image issues. How society has told us that we need to be a certain way to be loved and accepted. Someone who is affected by this, their emotions are usually hidden.

Editing

All my post processing is done in light room

In my camera bag

Usually my two lenses, camera body, flexible tripod and my microphone and usually a book to show my work to clients and people who hasn't seen my work.

Feedback

Think outside the box. Get creative with your lightning and don't be afraid to create something new. Learn to tell stories through your images and capture the audience through emotion and mystery. Pay attention to detail but don't aim for perfection.
