Location
This shot was taken in Apache Junction, Arizona.Time
Sunsets are often amazing in the desert!Lighting
The colors in sunsets can peak at any time when the sun has set. This particular evening, the colors peaked about 20 minutes after the sun was below the horizon.Equipment
Shot with a Canon 7D & 24-105L lens.Inspiration
We drive out into the desert often during our summer mission, similar scenes are almost guaranteed.Editing
Post processing included some levels adjustments, Mother Nature did the rest.In my camera bag
I carry 2-3 Canon camera bodies, a couple of tripods and a few lenses (24-105L, 100-400L II, 100mm macro & a fisheye).Feedback
A tripod is a must for sunsets. As with all landscapes, a smaller aperture is best for depth of field.
