Wow, nice tight crop. I am OCD about sloppy crops that clip out little pieces, you nailed it by getting all of the wings lined up.

Location
This photo was taken at the Blue Angel's Homecoming show in November 2015.Time
I started my travels to the Navy base at 9 AM. It took a little over 3 hours to travel to the base, gain access and park and to be shuttled a few miles to walk to and wait in lines to get to spectator seating. When I arrived at the viewing area, it was warm, cloudy and a bit breezy. I was able to get seats in the 3rd bleacher set on the left hand side of center stage. This photo was taken at 1:22pm on November 7th, 2015.Lighting
The lighting was great for this picture. It was past noon, so the sun was not directly overhead and some clouds, the sun was not harsh. The lighting was perfect to not cast too many shadows on the jets as they flew by my location.Equipment
I used my Canon Rebel T3i with my EFs55-250mm f/4 -5.6 IS II. Hand held camera for this show. No flash or tripod used.Inspiration
I had taken pictures of the Blue Angel's for 2 years at the Pensacola Beach Annual Airshow. When I learned the Blues had a Homecoming show in November. I decided I had to go to get a different view of the Blue Angels. It took me 3 hours to get to the viewing area. Once there, there was a lot of planes on display. I knew I need a good shot today. When the show started, I watched the opening acts, I watched how planes went by and what looked like a good location to get "the shot". When the Blues started flying, you could tell when they were coming back around easier than when they were flying at the beach. At the beach, I had seen them lined up on a diagonal line. This time they lined up in a straight line right in front of me. It was a one shot chance and it was a perfect shot!Editing
I cropped the image to only include the Blue Angels jets.In my camera bag
In my camera bag, I have my Canon T3i rebel with my EFS 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II ( my go to lens) along with a back up EFS 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II lens, a Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 II, and Canon EFS 18-55mm 1-3.5-5.6 IS. Several back up memory cards and battery charger for the camera.Feedback
To try to capture this shot, Arrive early!! Be prepared to wait in lines in your car and for buses and for shuttles. For the Homecoming show, when they tell you the show starts at 2pm - plan ahead to be at your seat location 2 hours or so before the show. Be familiar with the blue's air show ahead of time. If it is the beach airshow - plan on getting out there 7- 8 hours early. Take lots of pictures before the main show so you can learn the best angles for good shots. As with any Blue Angel's show - be ready for sneak attacks by solo jets! They may startle you and you may miss that perfect shot! That happened a few times at my first Blue Angel's Airshow. Go to practice shows to get a feel for the performances that will occur. Be ready and pay attention to where all jets are at times!! It is also good to have connections with someone that knows how the shows operate. Good luck!
