The Muse Knoxville (formerly The Discovery Center) is a wonderful, hands-on experience for children. It's mission "is to inspire and empower generations at the intersection of Science and Art." This is one of the light fixtures on the wall there. Camera lens was perpendicular to the wall and what you are seeing is the fixture as viewed from "above". Image is straight from the camera, unedited... just added my signature. Enjoy!

Cool shot. So soft. If you look at my photos you will see a similar lamp, except the one I saw was a table lamp. I shot it through a store window at night. Amazing how they are the same and yet so different.

Location
This is one of the sconce-like light fixtures on the wall at The Muse Knoxville. The Muse, (formerly The Discovery Center) is a wonderful, hands-on experience for children of all ages! It's mission "is to inspire and empower generations at the intersection of Science and Art."Time
This was taken indoors, early afternoon.Lighting
Light is illuminated from within, and also any ambient light that happened to be from nearby windows.Equipment
Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ150. Camera lens was perpendicular to the wall so what you are seeing is the fixture as viewed from "above".Inspiration
Just one of the coolest light fixtures I have ever seen! Perfect for the setting!Editing
Image is straight from the camera, unedited... just added my signature. In my camera bag
Panasonic Lumix GX8, Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmar 100-400mm f4.0-6.3 lens; Panasonic Lumix GX Vario Lens, 35-100mm, f2.8 lens; Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-150. I also carry Nokia Lumia 1020 cell phone, but truthfully, after the first year (2013) the camera has major issues. Looking into the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge as replacement. . Rarely use my tripod, as both camera and lenses have image stabilization, but I'm working on it!Feedback
Just be aware of your surroundings and develop an eye for the unusual! Other photographers on VB have seen and captured the same or similar fixture, which, in itself is a work of art. But everyone's style is different and opportunities abound for creative processing and editing... or simply straight from the camera!
