This image is of a dandelion flower which has gone to seed. I am a self taught photographer. For this shoot I very carefully set the flower on a sheet of black card stock at home.Time
I photographed the flower on my sewing table at night in the darkened room because I was experimenting with different lighting by using a flashlight. I had my camera on a tripod and used a macro lens.Lighting
I find experimenting with a flashlight in a dark room quite fun. I have control of the lighting and can spot it any particular place i wish it to be.Equipment
Canon 40D, macro lens, tripod, flashlight, black card stock paper.Inspiration
I enjoy macro photography because one gets a close view of things not seen everyday. I wanted to control the shots.Editing
The only editing I did was to turn the color image to black and white.In my camera bag
This may seem stupid to some; but I have my camera, a wide angle lens, a macro lens, a telephoto lens, flash, and batteries. I never know what may stile my fancy.Feedback
