Location
this photo was taken in netherton woods in Huddersfield west yorkshire.Time
around 10am. it was a very foggy morning but the weather said the sun was coming out. I knew the sun would be in an ideal location for this shotLighting
I knew the sun would burn through the fog to create the sunburst so I waited until the right moment.Equipment
I used a nikon d810 with a nikon 16-35 lens. I shot handheld on this shotInspiration
I wanted a nice autumn shot with the sun burning through the fog. I have seen other images on viewbug which inspired this shotEditing
I did basic adjustments in lightroom and selective levels in photoshop ccIn my camera bag
nikon d810. ir converted nikon d7000 nikon 16-35,nikon 50mm f1.8 sigma 70-200. set of nd grads and big stopper.Feedback
I guess to get a shot different to others is to watch the weather and try and put yourself where the action is. this shot was only possible by watching forecasts and knowing the area well along with the sun position for that time of day. I shot a very dramatic sunburst last week which was again watching what the weather was doing and putting yourself in the right spot.
