Location
I shot this picture before I made my studio, so in these times I had a temporary ministudio in the largest room of our house, in a little Transylvanian village called Csikszentkiraly.Time
It was almost a 8 hr shootin session, beginning the preparations like make-up and hairdesign at twelve o’clock, meanwhile I set up the lights, so I only had to modify them a little afterwards. After all these stuff I began to shoot the jewelry and due to our need for precision and quality the session lasted till the evening, it was the April of 2015.Lighting
I was about to create soft lights and harmony to precautiously highlight the jewelry. Using the two elinchrom studio blitz (200-400W) and a 100cm octobox with a 160 cm umbrella proved enough. I put the octobox close enough to the model, as the soft lights were the more dominant, while the blitz was the clarifier. In a lower position on the other side of the model and a bit farther on with the main lights.Equipment
This was shot on Canon 5d MK II, 24-105mm f4, Elinchrom Dlite 2/4 equipment.Inspiration
It was a team work with lot of creative member and these works inspire each other.Editing
Of course I made a minimal post work on it, like other fashion photos have some retouching. The colours needed some edits to bring harmony to the theme of the photo, I mean it is not a huge interference, just some necessary means. In my camera bag
The most important weapon of my arsenal is the recently acquired Canon 5D mk III dslr camera and his little brother, the mk II with the 24-105 mm f4 and 85mm f1,4 (manual) lenses. These are the most suitable tools for my portraits. Beside these I have two elinchrom studio blitzes (dlite 200 and 400) with some accessories like the 100cm deep octa, two 60 cm softbox, lastly a beauty dish of a 70 cm diameter.Feedback
I can only say I one is about to create similar fashion photos, it is advised to scheme everything before doing a thing, to decide what background to use for the jewelry and clothes used, and after this choosing the most suitable light setup for the setting. My will was to create a very clear-out and homogeneous colours, so the better the jewelry prevails, due to their impressive forms too.
