Beautiful shot. I love Livingston and the many birds we have in East Texas.

Location
This Bluebird photo was taken in our East Texas back yard. I have had no photographic education, so until I load my photos on the computer, I never know how they will turn out.Time
I seem to have better luck when I take photos in the morning. It's cooler and the birds and animals are more active. They love the cooler time of day and tend to 'show off' more for the camera!Lighting
The morning light is wonderful, as is any outside light when the sun is shining. When it's cloudy or raining, the colors just don't seem to 'pop'. I don't use any special lighting, as I stated above, I have no photographic education or training, I just love taking pictures.Equipment
I use a Fuji FinePix SL 1000 with 50x zoom, no special lenses, just the camera's settings. One day I hope to invest in a camera with extra lenses, tripod, etc. Until then, I am very happy with what I have. This camera has captured some wonderful memories for me.Inspiration
I love watching the birds, animals, and grandkids (what grandparent doesn't, right??). You never know what they will do, so you have to be ready to capture the 'uncapturable'! Sometimes, I put my camera setting on 'sport' because I want to be ready for anything! The bluebirds just seem majestic looking to me. They are always watching and paying attention to everything and everyone around them.Editing
If I ever have to 'post-process' or edit, it is usually to sometimes 'clarify' a photo. My eyes aren't great, so if needed, I will edit...not too often, though. In my camera bag
I have no bag, no equipment except for my trusty Fuji Finepix SL 1000. It has, and continues to serve me well...no complaints!Feedback
I'm not an expert photographer, so I'm not sure anyone would willingly take my advice...but, I would just say to always be prepared to capture a memory. Have your camera on a good setting that you know will allow you to ….for example...capture a bird landing on a wire or going into their birdhouse, or capture your grandchild jumping on the trampoline or swimming. There's nothing more rewarding than enjoying photos of kids or animals doing what they love to do.
