We were hiking to a remote part of Shenandoah National Park to an area with waterfalls and insect life which appeared unafraid of our presence. A Red Admiral butterfly landed on my arm to lap up salt from my skin. He willingly climbed onto my finger to continue his meal as a waterfall splashed in the background.
