Every year, just as summer begins to make its presence felt, the stony margins of many rivers and lakes in the Mackenzie Basin erupt into a blaze of spectacular colour. At about the same time, for reasons which may or may not be a coincidence.
A bonus at that time was that the beautiful lupines just started to bloom and provided colours that complimented the dawn mood and light very nicely... not all of them were blooming just yet and i needed to walk around to find a composition that would work for me...
