Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken behind my home in Hazelgreen, Alabama. It doesn't snow very often in Alabama, so when it does, I love to get as many pictures as I can because I love the snow!

Time

This photo was taken close to the middle of the day, around 1 or 2 in the afternoon.

Lighting

The lighting is all natural. It was a cloudy cold day, and this shows the intensity of the coldness.

Equipment

I just used my camera a Fujipics 602Zoom to take this photo.

Inspiration

The way that the view looked almost ominous and I just knew that anyone who viewed the photo could tell just how beautiful and cold this view was to me.

Editing

If any of my photos need any post-processing I always use Photoshop. But in this case, I didn't feel that this photo needed any post-processing. It was perfect the way that it was.

In my camera bag

When I took this photo, all I ever carried in my bag was my camera a Fujipics 602Zoom and extra rechargeable batteries. I didn't have any extra lenses with this camera; I didn't need any. My new camera, a Canon Rebel EOS T5 has two lenses: Canon EFS 18-55mm with image stabilizer and a Canon Zoom lens EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III. I just got this camera in July so I am still learning all the new things that I can do to take excellent photos.

Feedback

The most important advice that I can give to others is to always keep an eye out for anything that catches your attention, makes you "tingle" with excitement to get a lasting memory to share with others. Whether your photo is similar to mine or something completely different, if the view speaks to you and you have your camera available; capture the moment as soon as possible because it may not be the same image seconds later. Everything changes at a moments notice!
