Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in the Tanjong Pagar district in Singapore. This street is known for its beautiful shop houses and it represents older Singapore architecture.

Time

This was taken on a Saturday morning. I always find it very relaxing to take a photo walk by this street. I always find something new, hidden and interesting here.

Lighting

I wanted to capture the essence of of Singapore. The time of the day really helped highlight the features on the shophouses. The birds were an additional bonus and helped add on to the theatrics.

Equipment

I used my go pro hero 4

Inspiration

I love taking landscape and architecture shots. Singapore especially is a very exciting place to explore. I always run into corners where I find something new to capture.

Editing

I usually like to do a lot of post-processing to add something more dramatic to the images I capture. In this case since I wanted it to capture the old world charm I used apps like lightroom and snapseed to help me achieve it.

In my camera bag

I always carry my go-pro and tripod with me in my bag. Never want to miss out on an opportunity!

Feedback

I usually try and take shots from different angles to ensure I have captured all aspects of the object and lighting against the object. Usually takes a lot of patience but its totally worth it when you get that perfect framing and shot.
