On the island of Nusa Penida, also called Bali's poor sister, this seaweed farmer woman is working from sunrise to sunset with half of the body into the sea to collect, plant and repick the precious algaes which are bought by unscrupulous vendors who pay very little compared to the prise they sell them to Japanese, Corean or Chinese companies.
The island is also known for black magic and usually the sign with the hand of this woman send me a sort but...as she is smiling, this is just a joke. These people are great, courageous and work with abnegation. They live with no electricity, water all along the north coast of the island, harvesting thousand of underwater cultures...
