The Colorado River spans 1,450 miles (2,334 Kms) from the Rocky Mountains to Baja California, Mexico. Along its way and over millions of years it has carved some of the most impressive landscape, including Horseshoe Bend.
The afternoon did not seem promising. Half an hour before I took this image it was raining. I almost decided not to get off my car and do the hike to this location. But nature insists in teaching me a lesson I seem to forget. Weather is always unpredictable. Be persistent and you will be rewarded.
