The other night I ventured out with two local photographers in my area and had a crack at getting some shots of the Milky Way.
After driving down a beaten up track, crawling under an electric fence, rolling in a giant cow turd(dry thankfully) and stepping in one as well, I was able to setup my tripod and go to work.
The night started out with crystal clear skies but in about 5 minutes that quickly changed and the clouds rolled in. Luckily I was able to time my shot well enough that I could get a patch of cloud free sky before the clouds completely blanketed the sky.
