Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was made in Chapada dos Guimarães Beazil, in my friends house. I remember that this was my first photoshoot!

Time

I remember this shot was taken at around 5pm. That time when the light is not so strong but neither low light hehehe Anyway i saw this window and thought: "This is a great scene!"

Lighting

I wanted this moody light, so i only used the window. This gave me the mood i was looking for in this shot. Kind of a dramatic effect, i just love how we can use light to set the mood in an image!

Equipment

I used only what i had then, witch wasnt much, because i was starting back then in 2016 hehehe I had my Canon t5i with 18-135mm f/3.5 - 5.6 kit lenses. If i had one advice to share about equipment it would be: Dont let it take away your creativity, you have to know its limitations in order to know how to use it. Sometimes you dont need high end equipment to do great shots ;)

Inspiration

I can remember this day was amazing! Everuthing just kind of kept on flowing I remember i was siting in this window and observing, then i just asked my friend to go and lean on the window.

Editing

I did use some photoshop in this image. But it was only a couple of steps to sharpen a bit this image and to make it black and white!

In my camera bag

Nowadays i aways bring my 5D mk3 with 85mm f/1.8, 24-70 f/2.8 my godox V1 and a godox softbox I use my motorcycle to move around, so i must keep it light hehehe

Feedback

Aways try your best to be authentic. Knowledge is never enough, keep on studying and go for whatever it is you believe in, keep on doing it until you get good on doing it, then keep on doing it ultil you'r excelent hehehehe
