This photo was taken in our kitchen right after I had picked the flower from my garden. I am by far not a professional photographer, but am learning. With each shot I find a new adventure, a new perspective maybe even a new masterpieceTime
As much as I love photography, I also love to garden. This flower was picked off a vine growing that I'd been given. It was taken early morning as I had just came home from walking my dog and noticed it on the vine My only regret about picking this flower is that I've come to find out it was the blossom of an actual passion fruit.Lighting
Just basic room lighting as it was morning so no extra lighting was neededEquipment
This picture was taken with a Nikon Coolpix cameraInspiration
As I passed my garden I noticed a flower had bloomed on a vine I had planted. The colors were so vibrant and beautiful. I tried taking shots of it on the vine but wasn't getting the effect I wanted. The flower needed to stand out so you see the result.Editing
I haven't quite conquered Photoshop as of yet. I've been using Picassa which is Google based photo editing program I love the contrast of color and black & white photos and have done this with a few of my photos. To me it gives it an edgy lookIn my camera bag
I've now updated my camera to a Canon PowerShot. Still not totally professional camera but hoping someday to get oneFeedback
If it catches your eye then go for it. Just use your imagination and think what the possibilities that you may want to apply to the photo. Sometimes even the most simple shots can be your next masterpiece
